Long ago, in the depths of the Grand Forest lived a creature like no other. The King of Birds with powers so grand and beauty unrivaled--a creature of unmatched beauty and elegance. He rested at the top of the most ancient tree and watched over the animals of his kingdom. Soon, after years of peaceful reign, dark forces began to invade the land. These forces wore metal armor, and hunted every great tree in the land and destroyed it. One day, their machines reached the Great Tree, that watched over all the souls in the Grand Forest, and they began to cut away at all that surrounded the Great Tree. The King of Birds, at that
moment, knew their powers were too great and so he descended from the height of the Grand Tree, from his throne, down to face
the metal demons and fight them. However, there was rule that the King was aware of: if ever the King of Birds were to descend
from his throne, and his feet touch the earth's surface, his flight would be gone, and the pull of the earth would haunt him
forever.
He gave up his flight in order to keep the Tree alive. Now, Man chases him for his beauty, and seeks his shed feathers to dress
himself--Oh! how far the King of Birds has fallen!
He wanders treeless lands, and moans a flightless moan, wondering and cursing at the day the machines took his home.
